You know,

I live in a nation that certainly does provide freedoms.

No, seriously, Real Freedoms.

I’ve come across many theories of “how the freedoms have been acquired, how they’re kept, and what many different possible agendas are to keep them.”

God, or the Creator, or the Universe or “whoever you believe” (so I can be fair here) for sure knows, I’m no Saint.

From age 0-18, I always felt secretly imprisoned; therefore, school was a luxury to go be myself. (Whoever that was, whatever that meant as a kid.)

Spent my young adult teens from 18 to my mid 20’s searching for love, partying, working, studying on my own, seeking pleasure, peace, mind, and pretty much any answers there were available to me, you name it.

Spent another section/portion of my life deep diving in my own mind/brain/thoughts/beliefs/etc. I may have even been the cause of lots of bull#$%@ if not all of it.

I STILL, at age 34, have not found what I’m looking for, and I’m at least a little or a lot? Idk, “happy” or “pot satisfied” and Pumped with searching.

I’ve been humbled and I’ve been the Humbler. I’ve been the bully (1 time in my youth, saw what it made a kid do and never did it again) and I’ve also been bullied even as an adult lol.

Not to waste your time, though, I came to a point in my searching where, if you don’t learn to speak up when you need to, sadly, you leave yourself at risk of becoming that sad, dirty, shitty old rug people walk on without a care in the world.

So, back to freedoms and now we’ve come full circle my friend.

Sure, you could say:

“Well the rug doesn’t have feelings.”

“The rug isn’t a person.”

“The rugs person is to get stepped on.”

And in a literally context, and to some points, sure.

The rug doesn’t have feelings, but a person does.

The rug isn’t a person, but as a contrast, a person is a person.

A rugs purpose sure, to get stepped on. But a person? (Again, freedom. That’s your choice.)

There’s many points you could make about a rug and a person.

Ask yourself this dumb question:

“If we were all rugs, what would be the difference if we all step on each other?”

Let’s go a little further?

Technically, you do have a rug.

You look in that mirror every single day.

Whether it’s brown, yellow, white, black, orange, or green. You name it.

That rug, for many and or for most, may remain young and youthful, or it may “age.”

What I’m saying is simple, skin is skin.

That is only one thing that makes all of genuinely equal. That is what I call a True Freedom.

It isn’t something we have to fight for, but it is worth fighting for.

It can become like an Ironman suit, Spiderman suit, venoms suit, and counting… or… you get the picture.

So the more I realize this truth about all of having skin is the more I I’m just grateful to have the freedom to sit and think about this little tiny thought.

As to where the thought that people can be raised to hate another, over their color, race, or Creed. Not just to the bone but all the way to the soul.

It’s a chilling thought to encounter sometimes but hey, “Freedom.”

What will you do with yours?
